Student Policies
CODE OF CONDUCT
Gateway families should download and review the Code of Conduct and review it with their student. Students and parents must sign the Code of Conduct and return it to the student's homeroom teacher. If you cannot download the Code of Conduct, contact the GCS Main office for a paper copy. (Main Office: 302-633-4091)
BULLYING-PREVENTION
Gateway Charter School aims to foster the development of character and dignity in our students and community -- bullying or harassment of any type directly contradicts this idea. Bullying can take various forms -- personal interaction, email, text, or internet/social-media. Our students and staff members should not be subjected to harassment or bullying of any kind.
Instances of harassment or bullying should be promptly reported to the GCS Principal at 302-633-4091 Ext. 230 or at [email protected]. If you are unable to reach the GCS Principal, the state contact at the Delaware Department of Justice is Joseph Flinn (Ombudsman) who can be reached at 800-220-5414
SCHOOL SAFETY and EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
The GCS Emergency Preparedness Plan has been approved by the GCS Board of Directors and the state Department of Education. A copy is available here for download; paper copies can be obtained from the GCS Main Office.
